Learn how to build your first business even if:
How is the Inland Empire going to recover?
The answer is through entrepreneurship education.
There has never been a more important time in history than now to learn how to become an entrepreneur. The benefits are clear. Entrepreneurs experience:
But... you already knew this. You already recognize the importance of entrepreneurship education. Chances are... you have even considered starting a business yourself. If that's you, then I'm willing to bet you fall into one of the categories below.
The truth is... this was most entrepreneurs at some point. Putting our ideas on the backburner whenever something fun came up. Sitting with a notepad about to brainstorm, and then drawing blanks. Feeling like no one understood what we wanted to accomplish...
For some it takes months, for others it takes years. Years to realize that they wasted year after year waiting for something to happen... until they realized that they had the capability to make it happen all along. If you are a student that is reading this, then consider yourself lucky. You have the opportunity to save years. If you have been stuck in a job wondering when the right opportunity will come up, consider yourself lucky. You have the opportunity to choose not to waste another year.
The Inland Empire is in desperate need of entrepreneurs to step up to the plate. We need aspiring entrepreneurs to create, to explore their ideas, and to take risks. We need entrepreneurs to help rebuild the Inland Empire.
The Inland Empire's push for entrepreneurship is a statewide initiative that aims to support and encourage entrepreneurship in California. The push for entrepreneurship seeks to create an environment that is conducive to business start-ups and growth, and to provide resources and assistance to entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire region. The goals of this push are to create jobs, spur economic growth, and attract investment to the Inland Empire. This push for entrepreneurship will benefit California as a whole by helping to diversify the state's economy, and by providing opportunities for entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire region.
Although seventy percent of individuals with disabilities want employment, statistics show that the unemployment rate amongst the disabled community is more than double of those without disabilities. Work conditions for individuals with disabilities do not exist in all businesses to create a productive work environment. In many instances, individuals with disabilities are left to take employment in low-paying jobs that provide little growth opportunities. Besides physical challenges, employees with disabilities must also face the stigmas against individuals with disabilities.
Through entrepreneurship, persons with disabilities can set their own parameters which help to ensure a suitable work environment that promotes well-being. Self-employment increases self-empowerment. Entrepreneurship allows individuals with disabilities to enter the workforce and gain economic independence. This course, will provide the resources to start your own business and bridge the opportunities gap that exists for people with disabilities.
Veterans owned businesses account for more than 9% of all businesses in the U.S, accounting for 1 trillion dollars and 6 million jobs annually. When veterans leave the service and enter into the workforce, they bring many of the skills needed to become a successful entrepreneur. Throughout their enlistment, veterans possess critical thinking skills, have developed good leadership abilities, and are familiar with working within a team. For many, entrepreneurship is the most practical way to put their skills to use in the civilian world, in a field that allows them to contribute to society in a way that is meaningful to them.
Entrepreneurship has the potential to positively impact education by providing opportunities for hands-on learning, and by encouraging creativity and critical thinking. Additionally, entrepreneurship can help to prepare students for the workforce by teaching them essential skills such as marketing, finance, and business management. Students can start studying entrepreneurship at any age. However, it is important to note that some concepts may be more difficult to grasp for younger students. For this reason, many entrepreneurship programs are designed for college-aged students or older. Some of the benefits of studying entrepreneurship include gaining an understanding of business concepts, developing essential skills such as marketing and financial management, and gaining exposure to the entrepreneurial process. Additionally, studying entrepreneurship can help students learn how to think creatively and solve problems effectively. There has never been a more important time than now to start your entrepreneur journey.
