Volunteer Agreement

We believe that the volunteer relationship is built on trust and mutual understanding.

This agreement sets out: 1.) suggested start and end dates, 2.) what support you can expect from us when you volunteer, and 3.) the expectations from you as a volunteer.

As a volunteer we ask that you: 1.) Strive for the best that you can do and complete your volunteering activities with dedication and commitment. 2.) Go to any briefings and trainings that we think will help you in your role. 3.) Be positive about and support the charitable work of Paws 4 Success. 4.) Follow and operate within the policies and procedures of Paws 4 Success, including Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities. 5.) Act responsibly and within the law. 6.) Maintain confidentiality of Paws 4 Success' activities, the clients we serve, our team and our procedures. 7.) Value and respect the rights of clients. 8.) Work in partnership with staff and volunteers to make society a better place for our beneficiaries. 9.) Let your volunteer manager know if you are having any problems or if you have any complaints, concerns or feedback. 10.) Meet agreed time commitments and give reasonable notice when you’re not available so that arrangements can be made.

In return, we will: 1.) Introduce you to how our organization works and your role within it. 2.) Give information about Paws 4 Success' work, policies and procedures. 3.) Offer training and support for your role. 4.) Reimburse agreed expenses. 5.) Strive to resolve any concerns fairly and reasonably, applying our complaints procedure when it’s needed. 6.) Respect and listen to your feedback, and keep you informed of any changes. 7.) Ensure your health, safety and welfare. 8.) Apply our Equal Opportunities policy. 9.) Encourage a positive and supportive volunteering experience.

This agreement is in honour only. It is not intended to be a legally binding contract and either Paws 4 Success or the volunteer can end the agreement at any time.
